Governing costs in complex recovery: cost control integrated with the design process
For the Grand Hotel Gardone, a historic hotel on Lake Garda now undergoing an overall transformation, D&D supported the initiative with a cost control service developed throughout the entire design phase, which is still ongoing. The context is that of a particularly delicate renovation, on a historic building affected over time by multiple rearrangements and stratifications, which make the verifications, technical choices and progressive focus of the project more complex.
Our contribution was concentrated in a continuous cost control, built in close dialogue with the planners and designers of the works, to accompany the evolution of the project, managing then directly us the executive phase, with punctual economic evaluations, supporting the decisions to ensure the technical feasibility and sustainability of the investment.
